Jets QB Geno Smith suffers broken jaw after getting punched by teammate

New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith has a broken jaw resulting from a fight with second-year linebacker IK Enemkpali, head coach Todd Bowles told reporters on Tuesday.

Smith put his finger in Enemkpali's face during an argument and that's what led to the punch, according to FOX Sports 1's NFL insider Mike Garafolo.

Smith will be out 6-10 weeks because of the injury. Enemkpali has been released.

Because of Smith's injury, quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick will be penciled in as the starting quarterback.
