Winnipeg, MB – The Winnipeg Jets named Larry Simmons their assistant general manager on Thursday.
Simmons, who has been employed by the Thrashers/Jets franchise since 1999, spent last season as assistant to general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff.
He also served as the club's vice president/assistant GM between 2004 and 2011.
