New York Jets running back Mike Goodson says his arrest in May was "embarrassing," and he was "disappointed" in himself.

Goodson has returned to the team after being away during training camp for undisclosed personal reasons. He was suspended by the NFL on Monday for the first four games of the season for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Goodson was placed on the active non-football injury/illness list by the Jets. He was on the practice field Tuesday, mostly working with trainers.

In his first comments since his arrest in New Jersey on drugs and weapons charges, Goodson didn't go into details of the case or what he was doing while away from the team. He does say the time away allowed him to get his "life in order."
