DaMarcus James rushed for 184 yards and three touchdowns to lead Jacksonville State to a 41-27 Ohio Valley Conference win over UT-Martin Saturday.

The Gamecocks (5-1, 1-1 OVC) relied on James, late in the game as he amassed 68 of his yards and had two touchdowns in the fourth quarter. James is the only player in school history to score three rushing touchdowns in three consecutive games.

Jacksonville State jumped out to a 24-10 halftime lead but the Skyhawks (3-2, 1-1 OVC) charged back to cut the deficit to 7 as the third quarter ended. Dylan Favre, who threw for 290 yards and two touchdowns for the game, had a 17-yard scoring toss to Jeremy Butler to tighten the score.

Jacksonville State's Max Shortell threw for 226 yards and two touchdowns to compliment James as the duo had all but three of the touches for Jacksonville State in the final quarter.
