Jacksonville, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed Ramses Barden and Chad Hall to fill their depleted receiving core.
Barden was a third-round pick by the New York Giants in 2009. He made only one start in his four years with the team and recorded just 29 receptions for 394 yards. He was released prior to the start of last season and sat out the entire year.
Hall signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2010. The Air Force product has 16 receptions for 155 yards and two touchdowns in 24 career games with the Eagles and Chiefs.
Jacksonville also waived safety Jerome Junior and waived/injured wide receiver Nathan Slaughter.
Cecil Shorts and Allen Robinson are both out with injuries for the Jaguars, while Justin Blackmon and Ace Sanders will be suspended when the season opens.
