Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Jason Babin had groin surgery Tuesday and will miss the remainder of the team's offseason program.

Coach Gus Bradley says Babin is expected to be fully healthy in time for training camp.

Bradley says Babin's groin "just didn't feel right," so he went to Philadelphia for a second opinion and opted for surgery. Bradley adds that "everything went well, went really well."

The Jaguars claimed Babin off waivers from the Eagles last November, bringing in the two-time Pro Bowler in hopes of beefing up one of the league's worst pass rushes. Babin had seven sacks last season, a year after totaling 18.

The 33-year-old Babin has dealt with knee and groin injuries this year. He is due $4.225 million in base salary in 2013.
