With the Jacksonville Jaguars hurting a running back heading into Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills in London, the team promoted veteran back Joe Banyard for the practice squad, per the Florida Times-Union.
Starter T.J. Yeldon missed last week's loss to the Houston Texans with a groin injury and is uncertain for this week, as is backup Bernard Pierce who sat out with a concussion. The Jaguars also lost rookie Corey Grant, who placed on season-ending injured reserve on Tuesday with hip injury.
Banyard played in 18 games over two years with with Minnesota Vikings, running for 88 yards on 21 carries. He also caught 10 passes for 73 yards.
