Jacob Huesman's 13-yard touchdown over right guard with 2:02 remaining lifted Chattanooga over The Citadel 28-24 in a Southern Conference matchup.

Huesman rushed for 95 yards on 13 carries, and went 13 of 23 passing for 144 yards and two touchdowns to pace the Mocs (6-2, 4-1).

The Citadel (2-6, 2-4) built a 17-7 halftime lead on Ben Dupree's 13-yard TD scamper, Thomas Warren's 23-yard field goal and Aaron Miller's 41-yard touchdown strike to Jake Stenson.

Chattanooga took over in the second half though. Huesman found Faysal Shafaat for a 4-yard touchdown early in the third quarter and later hooked up with Xavier Borishade for a 33-yard score to get the game within three to set up the late-game heroics.

It was an evenly matched game — The Citadel gained 395 yards with 21 first downs, while Chattanooga amassed 341 yards with 20 first downs.
