BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (AP) Jacksonville State has swept through the Ohio Valley Conference awards just as the Gamecocks did league play this season led by quarterback Eli Jenkins and coach John Grass.

The OVC announced the awards Tuesday.

Jenkins threw for 1,967 yards and 10 touchdowns while running for 795 yards more and 12 TDs helping Jacksonville State (10-1) rank second in the Football Championship Subdivision with a first-round bye in the playoffs.

The Gamecocks are the first in OVC history unbeaten in league play for three straight seasons, and their lone loss was in overtime to LSU on Sept. 10.

Lineman Darius Jackson is defensive player of the year, and safety Marlon Bridges is freshman of the year. Grass won coach of the year with 11 Gamecocks on the All-OVC team.
