Heading into this year, defensive end CeCe Jefferson and offensive lineman Martez Ivey were perceived as the crown jewels in the Florida 2015 recruiting class.
Fast-forward to end of the regular season, and the premise held true.
Both were honored with All-SEC Freshman status on Thursday for their play in the 2015 campaign.
Ivey battled through numerous injuries to make an impact for Jim McElwain's team. He initially started out as a tackle, and then transitioned inside to guard. His positional versatility will serve this team extremely well heading into the future.
Jefferson featured for the Gators at both defensive end and inside at defensive tackle. Possessing a relentless motor, the freshman sensation accrued 8.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and 28 tackles.
The duo -- along with Antonio Callaway, Jordan Scarlett, and Jordan Cronkrite made up a very talented freshman class this year in Gainesville.
