Kyle Whittingham on Travis Wilson: 'He's a leader for us now' Rick Osentoski Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

Utah's senior quarterback Travis Wilson has led the Utes to an undefeated first half of the season; has his season earned him status as the best in the conference?

According to ESPN.com, Wilson might just be the new leading passer in the Pac-12. While David Lombardi's rankings weigh "the past weekend's performance more heavily than an overall season track record" the list still ranks Wilson at No. 1 overall. He's ahead of Luke Faulk, the gunslinger from Washington State, as well as Stanford senior Kevin Hogan.

"He's dramatically better," said Utah coach Whittingham, on The College Football Huddle with Bruce Feldman. "He's playing his best football as a Ute ... He's playing very confidently. He's a leader for us now."
