The injury situation has continued to get worse for Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho, who saw three more players leave games with injuries during international duty on Tuesday.

Mourinho's first-choice left back, Marcelo, is expected to be out until January after breaking his foot in training with Brazil over the weekend, while fellow defender Fabio Coentrao faces a month on the sidelines because of a groin injury.

On Tuesday, Mourinho saw another defender go down as Alvaro Arbeloa left Spain's 1-1 draw with France because of a hamstring strain.

In addition to the shortage of defenders, strikers Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain also picked up knocks, although neither is considered to be serious.

Madrid will host Celta Vigo in La Liga play on Saturday before facing Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday.
