The Cleveland Indians placed third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall on the 15-day disabled list after he broke his wrist on Friday.

Chisenhall was struck by a pitch in the fifth inning of Friday's loss to the Orioles and exited the game. X-rays revealed a broken right ulna bone, which will require surgery next week, and he'll likely miss four-to-six weeks.

The 23-year-old had begun the year in the minors, but was recalled when Jack Hannahan went down with an injury. Since Hannahan's return, Chisenhall has been splitting time at third base and designated hitter due to Travis Hafner's extended absence.

In 24 games, Chisenhall had a .297 on-base percentage along with three homers in 72 at-bats.

To replace Chisenhall on the roster, the Indians recalled utility infielder Jason Donald from Triple-A Columbus.
