Cleveland, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - The Cleveland Indians have placed outfielder Michael Bourn on the 15-day disabled list with a left hamstring strain.

The Indians selected the contract of outfielder Tyler Holt from Triple-A Columbus to assume Bourn's roster spot.

Bourn's left hamstring has bothered him all season. He had surgery on the hamstring in October and re-injured his leg in spring training, then missed the first 13 games of the 2014 season. Bourn was sidelined again for a few games in early May.

The latest setback occurred while running the bases late in Saturday's game against Kansas City. In 66 games this season, Bourn is batting .267 with three homers, 21 RBI and seven stolen bases.

Holt has split the 2014 season between Double-A Akron and Columbus, hitting .302 with 38 runs scored, two homers and 12 RBI with the Clippers.
