INDIANAPOLIS (AP) The Indianapolis Colts signed free agent cornerback Patrick Robinson on Wednesday.

Terms were not immediately available.

Robinson was a 2010 first-round draft pick out of Florida State, who played his first five seasons with New Orleans. In 2015, Robinson started all 16 games with the San Diego Chargers.

Colts general manager Ryan Grigson issued a statement saying Indy had wanted Robinson since early in free agency. Robinson is expected to start opposite Pro Bowler Vontae Davis, replacing Greg Toler.

The 5-foot-11, 191-pound Robinson had 49 tackles, forced one fumble and had one interception in 2015. In six NFL seasons, Robinson has played in 74 games, started 43 and had 234 tackles with 10 interceptions.
