The Indiana State's resurgent football team will play six home games as part of an 11-game schedule announced Friday.

The formerly down-trodden program is coming off a second straight 6-5 season. The Sycamores will return junior running back Shakir Bell, who tied for second in the Walter Payton Award voting last season.

Their home games are against Quincy (Sept. 8) and Drake (Sept. 15) in non- conference action, and South Dakota State (Sept. 22), Missouri State (Oct. 6, Homecoming), South Dakota (Oct. 27) and Illinois State (Nov. 3) in the Missouri Valley Football Conference.

Indiana State's road schedule feature a trip to Big Ten member Indiana (Sept. 1) and 2011 FCS national champion North Dakota State (Oct. 13).
