If a pass is catchable, Seahawks' receivers perfectly efficient

Start a list of the top receiving tandems in the NFL and don't expect to see the Seattle Seahawks in the discussion.

The Seahawks' blueprint for success has been pretty straightforward over the past few seasons: Ride a ferocious defense and a bruising running game to complement the wizardly of quarterback Russell Wilson.

The after-thought in the equation for Seattle has been its wide receivers, who are annually among the more anonymous groups at one of the league's highest-profile positions. In fact, the team hasn't had a 1,000-yard receiver since Bobby Engram in 2007.

Yet at the quarter-pole of the NFL season, Seahawks starters Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse are the only duo with a perfect rate on catchable balls (minimum eight catchable targets), noted Hawkblogger.com citing statistics from Pro Football Focus.

Baldwin has reeled in all 20 catchable balls (out of 24 targets overall) to rank sixth overall in the league in that category while Kearse is close behind with a 16-for-16 percentage. Adding to that efficiency is tight end Jimmy Graham, who has hauled in all 18 of his catchable targets, although Seattle's passing attack ranks 22nd with an average of 244.8 yards per game.
