Stoke-on-Trent, England (Sports Network) - Stoke City defender Robert Huth signed a contract extension on Wednesday that ties him to the club until 2016.
Huth had one year remaining on his previous deal, but after making a big impact at the club since joining from Middlesbrough in 2009, Stoke wasted little time in securing the German's future.
The 27-year-old has appeared in 130 games for the Potters since his arrival, and is coming off another strong campaign in which he scored three goals in 34 league appearances for Stoke, which finished the season in 14th place.
