Hull City have signed midfielders Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore from Tottenham, the Premier League newcomers confirmed on Wednesday.

Huddlestone, 26, arrives at the KC Stadium from White Hart Lane on a new three- year contract for a fee believed to be in the five million pound range, while the 23-year-old Livermore arrives on a season-long loan.

Huddlestone, an England international, joined Spurs in 2005 and made 205 appearances, but struggled to keep a first-team place under current manager Andre Villas-Boas.

Livermore came through the Spurs youth academy and has had loans spells at MK Dons, Derby County, Peterborough, Ipswich and Leeds.

Hull City opens its 2013-14 Premier League season on Saturday against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
