Limpopo, South Africa – Jean Hugo fired a six-under 66 Friday stroke win at the fourth and last Vodacom Origins of Golf event of the season.
Hugo finished at eight-under-par 208 at Legend Golf & Safari Resort. The victory was his third of the season and 13th on the Sunshine Tour.
The 35-year-old trailed by five strokes at the start of Friday, but caught fire in the middle of the round.
He had two birdies and a bogeys through six holes, then poured in four consecutive birdies efforts from the eighth to jump to seven-under. Hugo dropped another stroke on No. 13, but birdies at 15 and 18 sealed the victory.
Louis de Jager and Lyle Rowe both closed with three-under 69s to share second place at minus-six.
Charl Coetzee (69) and second-round leader Trevor Fisher, Jr. (74) tied for fourth at five-under-par 211.
