Holloway's 33 lead Xavier past Richmond, 85-62

Tu Holloway scored a career-high 33 points and made all 17 of his free throws Saturday, leading Xavier to its seventh straight victory in a 85-62 win against Richmond.

Holloway scored 14 points in a row for the Musketeers at one stretch of the second half, and Xavier (15-5, 7-0 Atlantic 10) moved into first place in the conference. Duquesne, the other unbeaten team in league play, can regain a share of the lead Sunday against Dayton.

Justin Harper scored 20 points to lead Richmond (16-6, 5-2), which lost for the third time in its last five home games. The Spiders were outscored 29-10 at the free throw line against Xavier, which missed only one free throw out of 30 attempts.

Kenny Frease added 19 points for the Musketeers. Dan Geriot had 15 for Richmond, Darien Brothers had 14 and Kevin Anderson 10, though he missed 12 of his 16 field goal tries.
