EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Carolina Panthers aren't the only team having issues in the secondary for this weekend's game with the New York Giants.
Tom Coughlin's squad has a problem, too.
Starting cornerback Corey Webster missed his second straight practice on Friday with a hip flexor and his status for the game between the two winless teams Sunday is doubtful.
Coughlin refused to name a replacement for Webster Friday, but it is likely that veteran Aaron Ross will get the call over second-year cornerback Jayron Hosley.
Ross did not play a down on defense in the Giants' 41-23 loss to the Broncos last Sunday. The former first-round pick played on special teams but watched as coordinator Perry Fewell used Terrell Thomas in the slot and played linebacker Jacquain Williams in run-pass coverage.
