Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Russell Henley won a four-man playoff on Sunday and that helped him soar inside the top 50 in this week's world golf rankings.
Henley 2-putted for birdie on the first playoff hole to win The Honda Classic. With that, his second PGA Tour win, he soared 64 spots to No. 46 this week.
There was little change at the top of the rankings. Tiger Woods withdrew during the final round of the Honda with a back injury, but is still No. 1 this week.
Woods was again followed by Adam Scott, Henrik Stenson, Jason Day and Phil Mickelson. Rory McIlroy, one of the three playoff losers, jumped two to sixth.
That move bumped Justin Rose and Zach Johnson down to seven and eight, respectively, this week, while Sergio Garcia and Dustin Johnson rounded out the Top-10 in ninth and 10th.
Matt Kuchar held on to the 11th position and was again trailed by Jordan Spieth, Steve Stricker, Bubba Watson, Graeme McDowell, Charl Schwartzel, Jason Dufner, Ian Poulter and Brandt Snedeker. Jim Furyk inched up one to 20th and that pushed Webb Simpson out of the top 20 to 21st this week.
