Former world No. 1 tennis great Justine Henin announced she is pregnant.

The retired seven-time Grand Slam singles champion, via her Facebook page, said she is expecting her first child in March.

The 30-year-old Henin said she and her partner Benoit Bertuzzo have some "beautiful news to announce. Yes, soon we will be three. Our small piece will arrive in March. We are super happy!"

The Belgian great first retired from tennis in 2008, ranked No. 1 at the time, only to return in 2010. She retired for a second time last year due to an elbow injury.

Henin, who possessed perhaps the most beautiful one-handed backhand in the history of women's tennis, captured four French Open titles, a pair of U.S. Opens, one Australian Open, an Olympic gold medal, and a Fed Cup championship during her illustrious career.
