Hamburg, Germany (SportsNetwork.com) - Hamburg and Stuttgart split the points in a thrilling 3-3 draw at the Imtech Arena on Sunday.

Alexandru Maxim got the visitors off the mark in just the third minute while Pierre-Michel Lasogga leveled the score in the 22nd minute, but Christian Gentner restored Stuttgart's one-goal edge eight minutes before the halftime interval.

Maximilian Beister equalized for Hamburg once more in the 55th minute, but Stuttgart went back in front thanks to an own goal from Johan Djourou in the 64th minute.

The lead last only three minutes as Rafael Van der Vaart netted Hamburg's third of the contest. It proved to be enough to grant the home side a share of the spoils as Stuttgart failed to find a fourth go-ahead goal following Antonio Rudiger's sending off in the 84th minute.

Wolfsburg, meanwhile, picked up a 2-1 victory over Augsburg on Sunday, overturning Tobias Werner's opening goal with first-half strikes from Maximilian Arnold and Luis Gustavo.
