Montreal, QC – The Montreal Canadiens signed forward Petteri Nokelainen to a one-year contract on Friday.
The 26-year-old Finn had three goals and three assists in 51 games after joining the Canadiens in an early-season trade with the Phoenix Coyotes.
A 2004 first-round pick of the Islanders, Nokelainen has registered 20 goals and 41 points in 245 career games.
The Canadiens also signed defenseman Brendon Nash to a one-year deal.
