Montreal, QC – Montreal Canadiens defenseman Andrei Markov underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on Monday to remove debris in his right knee.
He is expected to miss four to six weeks.
The 32-year-old has a goal with two assists in seven games played this season.
Markov, a 10-year veteran, has spent his entire career with Montreal where he's recorded 81 goals and 366 points.
