The New England Patriots will be without tight end Rob Gronkowski and receiver Danny Amendola in Sunday night's game against the Falcons.

Neither player made the trip to Atlanta, according to ESPN.com. Both were listed as questionable to play on Friday's injury report.

Gronkowski was limited in practice all week and there was a difference of opinion between the tight end and the team over whether or not he was ready to play, according to a report.

The Patriots think Gronkowski is healthy enough to play but the tight end is worried about returning too soon, according to the Boston Herald. Gronkowski has had back surgery and four procedures on his left forearm.

The paper reported the that Patriots eyed a return as early as Week 2 but Gronkowski targeted a date closer to Week 6.

Amendola missed the previous two games with a groin injury. He took limited reps during the week.
