Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley suffered an ankle injury on the first play of Wednesday's game against the Thunder.

Conley threw a jump-pass to Marc Gasol and came down on Kendrick Perkins' foot, turning his left ankle at a bad angle in the process.

He stayed on the court for several moments before being helped to the locker room and did not return.

Conley is coming off a career-season in which he averaged 13.7 points and 6.5 assists. He is in his fifth NBA season after Memphis selected the Ohio State product with the fourth overall pick in the 2007 draft.
