Montpellier, France – Olivier Giroud scored a second-half hat 3 win over Dijon at the Stade de la Mosson.
Benjamin Corgnet scored a brace inside 11 minutes for promoted Dijon, but one goal was erased on an own goal before half and Giroud scored in the 50th, 58th and 81st minutes. Souleymane Camara also scored after half for Montpellier.
Montpellier won for just the second time in its last five matches to add its sixth win through 10 matches, and sits on 20 points with idle PSG and Lyon.
Thomas Guerbert added a third goal in the closing minutes for Dijon, which has 11 points from 10 matches.
Lille 3, Auxerre 1
Auxerre, France - Dimitri Payet, Ireneusz Jelen and Mathieu Debuchy scored after the 70th minute as Lille defeated Auxerre, 3-1, on Saturday at the Stade de l'Abbe-Deschamps in Ligue 1.
Lille extended its undefeated streak to eight matches to move within one point of idle leader PSG. Auxerre, which got the opening goal from Dennis Oliech in the 36th, had its eight-game unbeaten streak snapped.
Brest 1, Caen 1
Brest, France - Thomas Heurtaux scored in the 85th minute as Caen extended its unbeaten streak to four and left Brest winless after 10 matches with a 1-1 tie on Saturday at the Stade Francis-Le Ble.
Bruno Grougi scored in the first minute of the second half for Brest, but the lead was surrendered in the closing stages as the club settled for its eighth draw through 10 matches in Ligue 1.
St Etienne 2, Evian 1
Annecy, France - Laurent Batlles and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored early in the second half and St Etienne edged Evian, 2-1, at the Parc des Sports to end its seven-game winless skid Saturday in Ligue 1.
Yannick Sagbo pulled a goal back later in the second half for Evian, which is winless in eight matches.
Lyon 3, Nancy 1
Lyon, France - Michel Bastos scored twice and Bafetimbi Gomis added another in a five-minute stretch midway through the first half and Lyon beat Nancy, 3-1, at the Stade de Gerland on Saturday in Ligue 1.
Bastos scored in the 27th and 32nd minutes, around Bastos' goal in the 29th, as Lyon avoided a third defeat in their last four to grab move even on points for the top spot with PSG. Nancy remained winless.
Toulouse 0, Marseille 0
Toulouse, France - Marseille continued to struggle in Ligue 1 on Saturday, as it settled for its sixth draw against just one victory through 10 matches with a 0-0 draw against Toulouse at the Stadium Municipal de Toulouse.
Marseille is unbeaten in four straight, but has just nine points from 10 games this season. Toulouse picked up a point on idle leader PSG and sits two points off the pace.
Nice 3, Bordeaux 0
Nice, France - Eric Mouloungui and David Hellebuyck scored in the first half and Nice defeated Bordeaux, 3-0, on Saturday in Ligue 1 at the Stade Municipal du Ray to snap a three-game winless streak.
Francois Clerc also scored for Nice. Bordeaux is winless in five straight.
