Andre-Pierre Gignac scored in the 68th minute against nine-man Toulouse as Marseille escaped the Stadium Municipal with a 1-0 Ligue 1 win Saturday.

Cheikh M'Bengue and Franck Tabanou were both sent off in the first half to put Toulouse at a disadvantage at home and, despite a penalty miss from Andre Ayew in the first half, Gignac notched the winner to rescue Marseille.

Marseille won for the third time in its last four to move level on points with Lyon for first place. Marseille is second on goal differential.

Toulouse lost for the third time during a four-match winless run, as it stayed in the bottom half of the standings.

Nice 3, Evian 2

Nice, France - Neal Maupay scored in extra time as Nice rallied from two goals down to edge Evian, 3-2, on Saturday at the Stade Municipal du Ray in Ligue 1.

Yannick Sagbo and Cedric Barbosa scored inside 14 minutes for Evian, but Nice started is comeback when Dario Cvitanich scored the first of his two goals in the 19th minute.

Cvitanich scored again in the 47th minute and Maupay added the winner just one minute into second-half stoppage time, as Nice won for the sixth time during a nine-game unbeaten run to climb to fourth in the standings.

Evian lost for the second time in its last three games and is 15th.

Montpellier 4, Bastia 0

Montpellier, France - Emanuel Herrera, Younes Belhanda and Anthony Mounier all scored in the second half as Montpellier rolled to a 4-0 win over Bastia at the Stade de la Mosson on Saturday in Ligue 1.

Marco Estrada scored in the first half for defending champion Montpellier, which has won three in a row and four of its last five to climb to ninth in the standings.

Bastia lost for the second time during a four-game winless run and is 16th.

Brest 2, Sochaux 1

Montbeliard, France - Kamel Chafni and Eden Ben Basat scored in the second half as Brest rallied to edge Sochaux, 2-1, on Saturday at the Stade Auguste Bonal for its first road win in Ligue 1 in 10 matches this season.

Cedric Bakambu scored in the 59th minute for Sochaux, but Chafni pulled one goal back in the 63rd and Basat followed with the match-winner in the 77th.

Brest climbed to 13th place in the standings. Sochaux saw its winless streak reach five games and it is two points from safety in 18th place.

Reims 1, Lille 1

Reims, France - Dimitri Payet scored 18 minutes from time at Lille managed a 1-1 draw against Reims on Saturday at the Stade Auguste Delaune in Ligue 1 to extend its unbeaten streak to four games.

Anthony Weber scored just seven minutes into the match for Reims, which is winless in 10 straight matches.

Lille is 11th in the standings. Reims is 17th, just two points above the relegation zone.

Troyes 3, Ajaccio 2

Troyes, France - Stephane Darbion, Benjamin Nivet and Fabien Camus scored in the first half as Troyes beat Ajaccio, 3-2, on Saturday at the Stade de l'Aube in Ligue 1 to snap an eight-game winless run.

Troyes moved off the bottom and two points clear of Nancy, which plays Sunday. Ajaccio scored twice in the 90th minute or later, but lost for the second time in its last three and sits 14th.
