The New York Giants have agreed to terms on an undisclosed contract with free agent tight end Brandon Myers, the team announced Sunday.

Myers comes to the Giants off a career year with the Oakland Raiders in which the Iowa product posted team bests of 79 catches and 806 receiving yards along with four touchdowns. His reception total was 27 more than the next closest Oakland player.

Prior to that breakout campaign, the 27-year-old had recorded only 32 catches totaling 250 yards over his first three NFL seasons, all of which came in Oakland.

Myers figures to take over as New York's primary tight end after last season's starter, Martellus Bennett, signed a four-year contract with the Chicago Bears earlier in the week.
