Giants' Richburg misses practice with left knee issue

The New York Giants just can't seem to get all five starters on the offensive line practicing at one time. During Tuesday's practice, starting center Weston Richburg was forced to sit out with a left knee injury that has been bothering him throughout training camp, according to Dan Graziano of ESPN.

Richburg missed a few consecutive practices last week before the second preseason game against the Jaguars. He took a cortisone shot and was able to suit up for the game. However, Richburg left live action early during the game, before the rest of the first team offense left the field.

The Giants are counting on Richburg to stay healthy and mesh with quarterback Eli Manning as his new center. After struggling in his rookie season at left guard, the Giants are expecting big things from Richburg in year two, at his natural center position.

Richburg is not expected to miss any live game action at this time and his status for Saturday's preseason game against the Jets has not yet been determined.
