EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – New York Giants fullback Henry Hynoski will have surgery Friday after hurting his left knee in the team's organized training activity.
The three-year veteran was hurt on the second play from scrimmage during an 11-on-11 drill on Wednesday at the team's first OTA. He had an MRI in the afternoon.
The Giants say a doctor examined Hynoski and found two injuries. He'll need surgery to repair the medical collateral ligament and a chip fracture.
Hynoski says he's going to try to be "ready for the first game of the regular season" and says doctors indicate it's a realist goal.
