NEW YORK (AP) The San Francisco Giants have flipped their starting pitchers for the final two games of their weekend series against the New York Yankees.

Johnny Cueto, the NL's All-Star starter, was moved up a day in the rotation and will open Saturday's game. Jeff Samardzija was pushed back until Sunday.

San Francisco manager Bruce Bochy made the decision with his first-place team in a season-high, six-game losing streak.

Both pitchers will be making their second start since the All-Star break. Samardzija did not get a decision in a 7-6, 10-inning loss at San Diego on July 16, and Cueto took the loss in a 5-3 defeat to the Padres the following day.
