Giants bring back safety Stevie Brown

It's no secret that the New York Giants are in panic mode at the safety position. A rash of preseason and training camp injuries has left the roster deathly thin at safety. When the Texans released safety Stevie Brown, the Giants came calling. On Monday, they made things official by signing Brown, according to True Jersey's Jordan Raanan.

Brown started for the Giants at safety to kick off the 2014 season, but he was later benched. In 2012, he racked up eight interceptions and was seen as a budding talent at the position. A 2013 ACL injury proved costly and he never returned to form in 2014. The Giants are hoping that with an extra year removed from surgery, he can add to the team's weakest unit.
