Brandon McGee scored a career-high 31 points and grabbed 13 rebounds off the bench to lead Georgia State to a 74-71 overtime victory over Northeastern on Saturday.

The Panthers (11-14, 6-9 Colonial Athletic Association) trailed 62-59 with 1:26 left in regulation before a three-point play by Josh Micheaux tied it at 62 with 1:09 to go. Neither team scored the rest of the way, forcing the overtime period.

A layup by Eric Buckner with 4:05 remaining in OT gave Georgia State a 64-62 lead and the Panthers led the rest of the way, scoring the first six points of the extra frame.

The Huskies (9-17, 5-10) led 32-15 in the opening half and by 12, 43-31, with 16:24 left to play in regulation. Northeastern shot a combined 12 for 31 in the second half and OT (38.7 percent).

Jonathan Lee scored a career-high 24 points and Chaisson Allen added 15 for the Huskies.
