Ryan Pearson scored 19 points and Luke Hancock added 17 as George Mason defeated Delaware 75-66 on Monday night.

The Patriots (10-3, 2-0 Colonial Athletic Association) shot 56.5 percent from the field (26 of 46) against the conference's top defensive field goal percentage team. However, they managed to shoot just 18 of 31 from the free-throw line (58.1 percent).

George Mason, which had a seven-game winning streak snapped with a 73-67 loss at Dayton last week, improved to 8-0 at Patriot Center this season in handing the Blue Hens (6-6, 1-1) their fourth loss in five games.

After Delaware brought it to 47-45 on a jump shot by Jamelle Hagins with 10:37 remaining, the Patriots got 3-pointers from Isaiah Tate, who finished with 12 points, and Hancock during a 10-0 run to put the game out of reach.

Jawan Carter and Alphonso Dawson had 20 points each for the Blue Hens.
