Four Bengals' starters suffer injuries

Cincinnati, OH – Four starters for the Cincinnati Bengals were forced to leave Friday's preseason game against the New York Jets with injuries.

Guard Travelle Wharton, middle linebacker Rey Maualuga, who had a sack in the game, and defensive end Carlos Dunlap all suffered knee injuries. Wharton had to be carted off the field at the end of the Bengals' opening drive.

Safety Taylor Mays suffered a head injury early in the second quarter and also did not return.
