Former Oregon QB Vernon Adams Jr. has received an invite to the 2016 NFL Scouting Combine from Feb. 23-29 in Indianapolis.

In his lone season in Eugene, Adams threw for 2,643 yards and 26 touchdowns.

Adams recently competed in the East-West Shrine Game and completed 6 of 9 passes for 191 yards and three touchdowns. He was named offensive MVP for his performance.

"He can play in the NFL," sais June Jones, who coached Adams in the Shrine GameWest team, per The Register-Guard. "Somebody's going to give him an opportunity to do that. Now whether he makes it or not, who knows, it's up to him at that point."
