MILWAUKEE -- Authorities are waiting for the results of toxicology tests to determine what caused the death of former Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman Bryan Robinson.
Robinson was found at a Milwaukee motel Saturday night. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office says an autopsy conducted Monday found no trauma.
Robinson, of Gurnee, Illinois, was 41. He began his career with the Bears from 1998 to 2003 and also played for the St. Louis Rams, Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals before finishing his career with the Cardinals from 2008 through 2010. He started 46 games for the Cardinals over three seasons and was credited with 46 tackles, 21 assists and two sacks.
In six seasons with the Bears, he made 82 starts and was credited with 177 tackles, 42 assists and 16.5 sacks.
Robinson had a game-saving blocked field goal in Green Bay six days after Walter Payton died in 1999. He preserved a 14-13 victory over the Packers by blocking a 28-yard field goal attempt by Ryan Longwell in the final seconds.
