A former Milwaukee Bucks dancer recently filed a federal lawsuit against the franchise for past wages she feels she is owed, according to FOX 6 Now.

Lauren Herington was a dancer for the Bucks in 2013, when she was 19 years old. She is now suing the team for what her lawyers are describing as "prolific wage abuse."

The ruling could impact hundreds of current and former NBA dancers. Here's what Herington's lawyer told FOX 6 Now:

"As far as we know, this is a first lawsuit of its kind against an NBA team," Attorney Ryan Stephan said.

"We think there are certain weeks where Ms. Herrington's hourly rate fell to the $3/hour or $4/hour level," Stephan said.
