With the city of Cleveland still basking in the Cavaliers' championship glory, former Browns linebacker Karlos Dansby reminded sports fans why Cleveland hadn't won a pro title in 52 years.

Dansby, who signed with the Cincinnati Bengals in the offseason, said some of his former Browns teammates "just shut down" during their 3-13 season in 2015.

"Because at a certain point, guys had just shut down," Dansby said on SiriusXM on Wednesday. "Guys shut down, the organization just wasn't clicking. The coaches and the front office, there was just a lot of mess going on, a lot of things going on, a lot of distractions."

The Browns seem to have had distractions for more than a decade. Cleveland hasn't made the playoffs since 2002, finishing last in its division 11 out of those 13 seasons.

Maybe new head coach Hue Jackson can turn it around. For now, Cleveland fans will have to revel in that NBA championship because their NFL team might bring them back to reality.
