East Hartford, CT – The Fordham-Connecticut football game will now be played at noon on Saturday.
The game was originally scheduled for Thursday night but Hurricane Irene relief efforts caused the postponement.
The stadium is not usable Thursday because the state's National Guard has taken over to provide supplies to residents affected by last weekend's hurricane.
The season opener for both programs marks their second all-time meeting. The first one was a 35-0 Fordham win in 1915.
