Flyers' Shelley suspended rest of preseason, 5 regular season games

Philadelphia Flyers forward Jody Shelley game suspension for his hit in Wednesday's preseason tilt against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Shelley was docked for his hit on Toronto's Darryl Boyce during the Leafs' 4-2 preseason victory in Philadelphia.

He will now miss the final four games of the preseason and the first five games of the regular season. He will be eligible to play on October 20 against Washington.

Also, he will lose $67,073.15 in salary.
