Philadelphia, PA – Philadelphia Flyers forward Scott Hartnell has been given a clean bill of health, after having an elevated heart rate during last Friday's preseason contest.
"Everything came back perfectly OK," Hartnell said after seeing a cardiologist on Tuesday. "Yeah, I was a little worried and you know it gets in your head a little bit too...but I feel good."
Hartnell was limited to just over 9 1/2 minutes of ice time in Philly's 3-1 win in Detroit, and was kept out of the rest of the game as a precaution. He did not play in Monday's 5-3 home preseason victory over the New York Rangers.
