Missouri true freshman signal-caller Drew Lock is completing passes at an impressive 67.9-percent clip. When he sets his feet and has time to survey the field, Lock's adept at picking out Mizzou receivers effectively.
Florida's defensive gameplan in this game is simple: Get after Lock.
Geoff Collins' defense has been very impressive this season. Ranking No. 22 overall in total defense, the Gators are also second in the SEC with 18 sacks. While Florida blitzes when it needs to, it often relies on the athleticism of its pas rushers in CeCe Jefferson, Bryan Cox, Jr., Jonathan Bullard, and Alex McCalister.
Missouri runs an offense predicated upon timing. Lock functions exceptionally well when he's afforded a clean pocket to operate out of. With his relative lack of mobility, Florida's overall team speed could pose some serious problems for the freshman quarterback.
Additionally, look for Collins to try and confuse Lock with pressure from multiple spots on the field. This could ultimately lead into Lock making rash decisions.
If it can constantly pressure Mizzou's quarterback up front with its front seven, Florida has a great shot at remaining undefeated.
