Florida HS athletic association says it wants 'top-to-bottom' review of PED policies

The Florida High School Athletic Association is ordering a "top-to-bottom" review of policies in an effort to further prevent athletes from using performance-enhancing drugs.

The association made the announcement Tuesday, saying it was doing so partly because of allegations that the now-closed Biogenesis clinic in South Florida may have been providing PEDs to high schoolers.

The Biogenesis clinic was the epicenter of baseball's most recent doping scandal, one in which Alex Rodriguez drew a 211-game suspension Monday and more than a dozen other major leaguers were sanctioned.
