Fiorentina came from two goals down with 10 men to snatch a 2-2 draw at the Artemio Franchi on Sunday against AC Milan, keeping the Viola within six points of the Rossoneri.

Fiorentina entered the day with a chance to cut its deficit in half and put pressure on Milan for the third and final Champions League place in Serie A.

But the first half did not go as planned with Riccardo Montolivo firing Milan in front after 14 minutes, while the hosts were reduced to 10 men six minutes before the break as Nenad Tomovic caught Milan's Stephan El Shaarawy with an elbow.

The match appeared to be lost in the 62nd when Mathieu Flamini got a slight touch on Montolivo's cross to divert the ball into the net, giving Milan a two-goal lead.

However, Fiorentina began to fight back in the 66th when Antonio Nocerino fouled Adem Ljajic inside the penalty area, allowing Ljajic to pull a goal back from the spot.

And the comeback was complete seven minutes later after Juan Cuadrado was brought down inside the area, with David Pizarro stepping forward to fire home the equalizer.

Napoli 2, Genoa 0

Naples, Italy - Napoli captured a third straight Serie A win on Sunday and opened up a four-point lead on third-place AC Milan in the process after a 2-0 triumph at home against Genoa.

Goran Pandev struck the opening goal after 18 minutes following some good work from Edinson Cavani, while the home side doubled its lead 10 minutes later with Marek Hamsik at the center of the move.

Hamsik led the break and calmly laid the ball off for Blerim Dzemaili to slot inside the post beyond the reach of goalkeeper Sebastien Frey.

Napoli could have added a third goal from the penalty spot in the second half when Hamsik was brought down inside the area by Genoa's Jiraj Kucka, but Cavani's spot kick was saved by Frey.

Genoa is now in a three-way tie for 17th place and faces a real fight to avoid relegation over the final seven games.

Atalanta 4, Inter Milan 3

Milan, Italy - A second-half hat trick from German Denis propelled Atalanta to a stunning 4-3 win over Inter Milan at the San Siro on Sunday, severely damaging the Champions League hopes of the Nerazzurri.

Inter went up 3-1 with 30 minutes to play after Ricardo Alvarez scored twice in the span of four minutes for the hosts, but Denis went one better in a 12- minute burst to snatch three unlikely points for Atalanta.

Denis started the comeback for the visitors from the penalty spot in the 65th minute, and he leveled the contest six minutes later after beating defender Andrea Ranocchia and firing a shot past goalkeeper Samir Handanovic.

The memorable evening was capped in the 77th by Denis when he dashed toward goal to finish off a cross from Giacomo Bonaventura, moving Atalanta 10 points clear of the drop zone.

Catania 0, Cagliari 0

Catania, Italy - Catania suffered a setback in its bid to reach European competition on Sunday as the club was held to a 0-0 draw at home by Cagliari.

Catania's Gonzalo Bergessio was the most dangerous man on the field and he nearly scored from a free kick midway through the opening half before heading Keko's cross just past the post.

Cagliari piled on the pressure in the second half, but the best chance the visitors had a winning goal fell to Mauricio Pinilla, who failed to hit the target with only goalkeeper Mariano Andujar to beat.

Palermo 3, Sampdoria 1

Genoa, Italy - Palermo's hopes of survival got a big shot in the arm on Sunday with a 3-1 victory at Sampdoria that moves the club into a three-way tie for 17th place in Serie A.

The win is just the fifth of the season for Palermo, but the club now has seven games to play with the prospect of survival in sight.

Palermo took the lead through Steve von Bergen in the 35th minute, but his opener was canceled out eight minutes later by Sampdoria's Gianni Munari.

However, Palermo came out strong after the break with goals from Josip Ilicic and Santiago Garcia six minutes apart to grab three huge points.

Siena 0, Parma 0

Siena, Italy - Siena picked up another point in its bid to avoid relegation as the club played out a drab 0-0 draw with Parma on Sunday.

Parma had the better of the chances in a frustrating game, but Siena had a few opportunities of its own to snatch three valuable points, only for forward Innocent Emeghara to prove wasteful in front of goal.

Parma's Nicola Sansone was equally poor as he missed a close-range chance in the second half to force his side to settle for a point.

Siena is now level with two other sides in 17th place.

Udinese 3, Chievo 1

Udine, Italy - A first-half brace from Antonio Di Natale led Udinese to a 3-1 win over Chievo on Sunday to keep Udinese's European hopes alive.

Di Natale struck the opening goal after 20 minutes and doubled his tally five minutes later to put the home side up 2-0.

Paul Papp reduced Chievo's deficit with a goal before halftime, but Mehdi Benatia secured the win with five minutes to play as Di Natale continued to give Chievo problems.

Di Natale made a run to the end line and floated the ball over goalkeeper Christian Puggioni, who saw Benatia finish off the move from close range.
