FIFA director of security Ralf Mutschke says it's "embarrassing" that dozens of ticketless Chile fans broke into the Maracana Stadium on Wednesday.

Mutschke says security operations at the World Cup venue must "improve in order that this will not happen again."

Brazilian authorities say 87 Chile fans were detained after smashing their way into the stadium media center ahead of their team's 2-0 win against Spain.

It was the second security lapse at the Maracana, which hosts the final on July 13. Some Argentina fans jumped fences trying to watch their team play last Sunday.

Hilario Medeiros, security manager for Brazil's organizing committee, says "operational procedures are being reassessed."

Medeiros says "definitely you will see a difference in the next event."

The Maracana hosts Belgium vs. Russia on Sunday.
